Landon defeats Bullis 9-7 to secure second straight IAC lacrosse title

Landon lacrosse team secured its second consecutive Interstate Athletic Conference (IAC) championship with a 9-7 victory over Bullis on Friday, marking the program's 34th title. The Bears, ranked No. 2 nationally, capped an 18-1 season, going undefeated in conference play and winning both the regular season and tournament titles.

Led by coach Will McGettigan and a senior-heavy roster, the team overcame expectations to dominate throughout the season, with their only loss coming in overtime against Haverford (PA).

Junior Makana Neverosky scored a hat trick, including a late goal to seal the win. Seniors Sean Murray, Riley Lugar, and Talan Smith also contributed goals. In a postgame celebration full of emotion, McGettigan thanked his players, acknowledging their place in Landon's rich lacrosse legacy and calling them one of the best teams in school history.
